Office Furniture To Check Out At Neocon 2015
I am an office furniture geek and lover of all things office design. It’s Sunday night and I’m gearing up for Neocon 2015 tomorrow. I just downloaded the Neocon app and am busy researching all the stuff I want to see at the massive Merchandise Mart in Chicago tomorrow. Here are my top three must-sees.
1. Haworth’s Neocon Showroom Patricia Uriquiola Exhibit (Space 312). This interactive exhibit explores the balance of nature and technology. Rumor has it the room is a biophillic and technological interactive experiment and I can’t wait to partake.
2. Anything that lets me work and not sit. I admit, I have jumped headfirst into the “sitting is the new smoking” hype. As a Type 1 Diabetic for 34 years, I cannot afford to do anything that may adversely affect my health, and the general consensus seems to be that sitting will do just that. I am particularly keen to see the many sit-to-stand options along with Via Seating’s new Oyo conference/lounge seating (pic left) (Space 7-1062).
3. Brody WorkLounge by Steelcase (Space 300) These cozy work spaces create comfortable spaces when you need to get away from your open office. I want to sit inside and see how cozy they feel and function. I’ll be sure and bring along my laptop and teddy bear! If you want a peek at Brody the video is below.
